Salary: £86 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are delighted to offer a rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming early years setting in Rotherham. This full-time position is ideal for someone with a Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification who is eager to support children in their early developmental stages within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
About the Role:
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support the class teacher in creating a stimulating, safe, and caring environment where young children can grow in confidence and flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. You will help lay the foundations of learning for children aged 3–5, fostering a love for discovery through play-based and structured activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through engaging activities.
- Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation, and day-to-day classroom routines.
- Provide individual and small group support tailored to the developmental needs of each child.
- Observe, assess, and record pupil progress and contribute to reporting on their development.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in a nurturing manner.
- Set up and maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
- Foster strong relationships with children, staff, and parents/carers.
- Support children with additional needs, ensuring inclusive learning experiences.
Job Requirements:
- Must hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
- Prior experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development stages.
- Warm, caring, and proactive personality with a genuine love for working with children.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to individual needs and deliver personalised support.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
