Salary: £150 - £260 per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that stimulate critical thinking, creativity, and literary analysis.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to express themselves confidently.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities, ensuring every student can reach their full potential.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enhance the overall learning experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in English.
  • Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally 5, with a proven track record of student progress and attainment.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature, language, and literacy development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
