Cover Supervisor
Location: North Shields, North Tyneside
Salary Scale: £75 - £100 per day
Contract: Full Time, Temporary
About the Role:
GSL Education are currently seeking a dynamic Cover Supervisor to join secondary schools across North Shields. The role involves overseeing classroom activities in the absence of regular teachers.
Job Summary:
- Supervise classes to ensure a conducive learning environment.
- Implement provided lesson plans during teacher absences.
- Maintain discipline and manage student behaviour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure students actively participate in lesson activities.
- Address any queries or concerns raised by students.
- Uphold classroom order and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong classroom management abilities.
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
Note:
This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies. Successful candidates must undergo background checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure on the update service.
