SEMH TA SEC
Location: North Shields
Salary: £75 - £100 per day
Contract: Full Time, Temporary
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school team in North Shields. This position involves supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Job Summary:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to implement effective strategies for inclusion.
- Support the emotional and academic development of students.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individual support plans.
- Manage challenging behavior positively and effectively.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with SEMH or similar needs is essential.
- Strong understanding of the strategies needed to manage challenging behaviors and promote positive outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
