Cover Supervisor
Location: Consett, County Durham
Salary: £75 - £100 per day
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
GSL Education are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join secondary schools in Consett. This role involves managing classroom activities and ensuring student engagement in the absence of the classroom teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classroom activities.
- Ensure that pre-set work is completed in the absence of the teacher.
- Manage student behaviour and ensure a constructive classroom environment.
- Liaise with teachers and staff to ensure smooth running of the school day.
Requirements:
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexible and proactive approach to cover a variety of subjects.
- Experience in an educational setting is preferable but not essential.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
