Learning Support AssistantOur Academy in Colchester, invites applications for the role of Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a school that has recently transitioned to a brand new building, offering a vibrant environment for both students and staff.
About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, emphasizing the importance of transition and developing social skills for young learners aged 10-16 in Key Stages 3 and 4. The role is diverse and demanding, requiring resilience and commitment, particularly as many of our students have found mainstream education challenging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, and ODD.
- Foster social development and academic achievement.
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team.
- Assist in the management of behavior and contribute to the annual reviews of students.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Background in any child setting is desirable.
- Experience or a keen interest in working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
