Learning Support Assistant 
Our Academy in Colchester, invites applications for the role of Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a school that has recently transitioned to a brand new building, offering a vibrant environment for both students and staff.
About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, emphasizing the importance of transition and developing social skills for young learners aged 10-16 in Key Stages 3 and 4. The role is diverse and demanding, requiring resilience and commitment, particularly as many of our students have found mainstream education challenging.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, and ODD.
  • Foster social development and academic achievement.
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team.
  • Assist in the management of behavior and contribute to the annual reviews of students.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Background in any child setting is desirable.
  • Experience or a keen interest in working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
