Are you a confident and adaptable teacher who can step into the classroom and keep learning on track?
GSL Education Lincoln Branch are currently recruiting a reliable Cover Teacher to work in a wonderful school in Boston. This role is suited to an experienced educator who can adapt quickly to different classroom environments, deliver effective lessons and maintain a positive learning atmosphere in the absence of the usual class teacher.
You will play an important role in ensuring students continue to receive consistent teaching and support. The ability to follow lesson plans, manage classroom behaviour and build rapport with pupils will be essential.
Responsibilities of a Cover Teacher:
- Deliver lessons across the relevant curriculum areas.
- Follow existing lesson plans and learning objectives.
- Maintain effective classroom management and positive behaviour.
- Adapt teaching approaches to suit different groups of pupils.
- Monitor pupils' engagement and progress during lessons.
- Provide guidance and support to pupils with their learning.
- Communicate effectively with school staff regarding lesson outcomes and any concerns.
Requirements for the Cover Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
- Previous teaching experience within a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups.
- A flexible, professional and organised approach.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
