GSL Education is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated English Teacher to join a school in Boston on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire pupils, develop their confidence in English, and create an engaging learning environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons, helping students develop their reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. You will encourage pupils to explore literature, express their ideas confidently, and achieve their full academic potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach English across the relevant key stages and ability levels.
  • Develop pupils' reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills.
  • Encourage students to explore a range of literary texts and develop critical thinking.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different learners.
  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and high expectations for learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and pupil achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow school policies and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree in English or a relevant subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire pupils of different abilities.
  • A creative and adaptable approach to lesson delivery.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupils' academic and personal development.
