Teaching Assistant – Lincoln
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £93–£110 per day, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
GSL Education is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Lincoln. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children’s learning, helping pupils build confidence, and contributing to a positive classroom environment.
Whether you already have experience working in a school or are looking to begin a career in education, we would love to hear from you. This role would also be particularly suitable for graduates, university students, and aspiring teachers who want to gain valuable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Help pupils develop their academic, social, and emotional skills.
- Encourage positive behaviour, participation, and independence.
- Assist with preparing classroom resources and learning activities.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, positive, and adaptable approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and take direction from teaching staff.
- Previous school experience or a relevant qualification is desirable but not essential for every placement.
- An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education would be an advantage.
