Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting confident and resourceful Cover Supervisor (CS) to work in amazing schools throughout Doncaster. We would like to hear from individuals who can manage classroom activities effectively, establish clear expectations, and encourage students to remain engaged with their learning during teacher absences.
The Cover Supervisor will have the opportunity to take responsibility for supervising pre-prepared lessons, maintaining classroom discipline, and providing guidance to help learners complete their work while ensuring a structured and productive learning environment.
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervise classroom activities using lesson materials provided by teaching staff
- Communicate instructions clearly and assist students in understanding assigned tasks
- Maintain positive behaviour and reinforce established classroom expectations
- Encourage independent learning and keep students engaged throughout lessons
- Respond appropriately to classroom challenges and follow school procedures
- Record attendance and provide relevant feedback to teachers regarding student participation and progress
Cover Supervisor Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people in education, coaching, mentoring, or a similar setting is desirable
- Confidence managing different kind of students across different subjects
- Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of positive behaviour management and classroom supervision techniques
- Reliable, adaptable, and professional approach to working in school environments
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
