Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for innovative and skilled Design and Technology Teachers to join fabulous schools in Doncaster. We are seeking qualified educators who can combine creative thinking with hands-on learning, introduce students to different materials and production techniques, and encourage them to approach design challenges with confidence and originality.
The Design and Technology Teacher is going to guide students through the complete design process, from developing initial concepts to producing finished products, while strengthening their practical abilities, technical understanding, and problem-solving skills.
D&T Teacher Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver creative Design and Technology lessons that combine practical activities with technical knowledge
- Teach students how to explore design ideas, select appropriate materials, and develop functional products
- Demonstrate effective techniques for using tools, machinery, and workshop equipment
- Encourage experimentation, innovation, and independent problem-solving through practical projects
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to improve design and technical skills
- Maintain a safe, organised, and inclusive workshop environment that supports practical learning
DT Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong knowledge of Design and Technology principles, materials, and manufacturing techniques
- Previous experience teaching Design and Technology in a school or similar setting is desirable
- Understanding of workshop safety procedures and the appropriate use of practical equipment
- Effective classroom management, lesson planning, and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
