COMPLEX NEEDS & SEN LEARNING SUPPORT WORKERS REQUIRED!

Location: Redditch
Full Time | Monday to Friday | Term Time Only
⏰ Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay Rate: £93–£105 per day

GSL Education is currently recruiting dedicated, compassionate and resilient Learning Support Workers to join a specialist SEN school in Redditch, supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, complex learning difficulties and behavioural challenges.

Age Range: Candidates must be confident working with children from nursery age through to young adults aged 16+ (post-16), adapting their approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting individuals with:

✅ Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex needs
✅ ADHD and additional learning needs
✅ PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
✅ Looked After Children (LAC) and children with care experience
✅ Behaviours that challenge and emotional regulation difficulties
✅ Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
✅ Complex medical needs
✅ Epilepsy and seizure management
✅ PEG feeding and specialist care requirements
✅ Physical disabilities and mobility needs
✅ Multi-sensory impairments
✅ Non-verbal communication and alternative communication methods
✅ Personal care needs, including toileting, dressing and hygiene support
✅ Trauma-informed support and attachment-related needs

Recent graduates and candidates with degrees or qualifications in Psychology, Childcare, Criminology or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience supporting children and young people with diverse needs in a specialist educational setting.

Requirements:

✔️ Available Monday to Friday during term time (Non negotiable)
✔️ Available to work 8:30am – 3:30pm (Non negotiable)
✔️ Confident supporting children and young people from nursery age through to post-16
✔️ DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
✔️ Previous experience supporting individuals with SEN, autism, ADHD, complex needs or behaviours that challenge is highly desirable
✔️ Graduates from Psychology, Childcare, Criminology or related backgrounds are encouraged to apply
✔️ A caring, proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils with diverse needs
