Job Title: Early Years Teacher

Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting creative and dedicated Early Years Teacher (EYT) to work with vibrant schools in Sheffield. We are seeking qualified educators who can combine purposeful play with structured learning, respond to individual developmental needs, and provide children with strong foundations for their future education.
As an Early Years Teacher, you will deliver engaging learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting children’s communication, literacy, numeracy, physical development, creativity, and social-emotional growth.
Early Years Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver stimulating learning experiences aligned with the EYFS framework
- Develop early literacy, numeracy, communication, and language skills
- Create opportunities for creative, sensory, physical, and exploratory learning
- Observe and assess individual development to identify appropriate next steps
- Encourage positive relationships, confidence, curiosity, and independence
- Maintain an inclusive and stimulating environment that supports development and wellbeing
Early Years Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or a recognised equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Previous experience teaching within an Early Years environment is desirable
- Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching approaches
- Effective planning, assessment, communication, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
