Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to provide targeted support to students in lessons and throughout the school day. You will help pupils stay engaged with their learning, provide one-to-one or small-group assistance where needed and encourage greater confidence and independence. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a practical difference to students' day-to-day experience at school.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students during lessons.

Work closely with teachers to support learning and classroom activities.

Help students understand and complete tasks at an appropriate level.

Encourage pupils to participate confidently in lessons and school activities.

Support students with additional learning, communication or pastoral needs.

Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive classroom environment.

Share relevant observations and feedback with teachers and support staff.
Requirements:

Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
A patient, supportive and adaptable approach.
-
Ability to build positive professional relationships with students.

Confidence working with pupils who may require additional support.

Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
-
Experience within an education or support setting is advantageous.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
