Job Title: Design Technology Teacher

Pay Rate: MPS/UPS (Depending on experience)

GSL Education Lincoln Branch are recruiting creative and technically skilled Design Technology Teacher to work in vibrant schools across Spilsby. We would be happy to have a qualified educator who can combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on learning, helping young people develop confidence in designing, making, testing, and evaluating their own work.
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons, encouraging learners to explore materials, processes, technologies, and creative approaches while developing valuable technical and problem-solving skills.
DT Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Design Technology curriculum
- Guide students through research, designing, prototyping, making, and evaluation
- Demonstrate safe and effective use of tools, machinery, materials, and specialist equipment
- Encourage creative thinking, experimentation, and practical problem-solving
- Assess project work and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Maintain appropriate health and safety standards during practical activities
D&T Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum
- Practical understanding of relevant materials, processes, and workshop equipment
- Previous experience teaching Design Technology is desirable
- Effective classroom management and communication skills, particularly during practical lessons
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
