Cover Supervisor – Skegness

Location: Skegness, Lincolnshire
Salary: £110 – £130 per day, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time | Flexible

GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in Skegness.

Are you looking for flexible work that gives you genuine experience of working with young people? This role is a great option for aspiring teachers, graduates or university students who want to develop practical skills before moving into teaching.

You will help ensure lessons run smoothly when teachers are absent, providing students with structure, support and encouragement throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes and ensure students complete their assigned work.
  • Follow prepared lesson plans and school instructions.
  • Maintain positive behaviour and classroom expectations.
  • Support students with their learning where appropriate.
  • Monitor attendance and report any concerns.
  • Work professionally with teaching and pastoral staff.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Confident working with secondary-aged pupils.
  • Calm and consistent when managing behaviour.
  • Reliable, organised and adaptable.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Previous experience working with young people is beneficial.
  • An interest in teaching or education is highly desirable.
