Cover Supervisor – Gainsborough
Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
Salary: £110 – £130 per day, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time | Flexible
GSL Education is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in Gainsborough.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and would like to gain valuable experience within a secondary school environment. You will supervise classes, support students with their learning and help maintain a positive and productive classroom.
If you are an aspiring teacher, recent graduate, university student or someone considering a career in education, this role can provide useful classroom experience while allowing you to develop your confidence, communication and behaviour-management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during lessons when their regular teacher is unavailable.
- Deliver pre-prepared work and ensure students remain focused.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school expectations.
- Provide support and encouragement to students.
- Take attendance and report any concerns to relevant staff.
- Maintain a calm and positive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A genuine interest in working with young people.
- Confident communication and classroom management skills.
- A calm, reliable and professional approach.
- Previous experience with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
- An interest in becoming a teacher or developing a career in education would be advantageous.
