Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Salary: Up to £220 per day, depending on experience
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic PE Teacher looking for your next opportunity in Doncaster?

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to work with schools across Doncaster.

Responsibilities of a PE Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across different year groups and ability levels.
  • Teach a range of sports and physical activities in line with the curriculum.
  • Encourage pupils to develop teamwork, communication, discipline and sportsmanship.
  • Adapt activities and lessons to meet the needs of individual pupils, including those with SEND.
  • Maintain a positive and safe learning environment during practical lessons.
  • Manage behaviour effectively and promote positive attitudes towards physical activity.
  • Assess and monitor pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback where appropriate.
  • Support pupils in developing confidence, resilience and healthy lifestyles.
  • Contribute to extracurricular sporting activities and school events where required.

Requirements of a PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching PE within a school setting is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and a range of sporting activities.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical and differentiated lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A relevant degree or qualification in PE, Sports or a related subject is desirable.
