Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting knowledgeable and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to work in welcoming schools in Sheffield. We are seeking qualified educators who can explain mathematical concepts clearly, adapt lessons for different levels of ability, and encourage young people to approach challenging topics with persistence and curiosity.
As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver structured lessons across the Mathematics curriculum, developing learners’ numerical fluency, reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Math Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across relevant key stages
- Demonstrate numerical and abstract concepts through clear explanations and worked examples
- Develop logical reasoning through structured problem-solving activities
- Adjust tasks and teaching methods according to different levels of understanding
- Evaluate progress through classwork, tests, and formal assessments
- Prepare examination groups with focused revision and targeted academic guidance
Math Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics at an educational institute or similar setting
- Ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts in an accessible manner
- Effective planning, assessment, organisation, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
