Job Title: Qualified Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay Rate: £90 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term
Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant ready to use your classroom experience to help young people become more confident, capable, and independent learners?
GSL Education Newcastle Branch are looking for skilled and dependable Qualified Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in excellent schools across Middlesbrough. We are seeking practitioners who can contribute effectively to classroom learning, provide targeted academic support, and work collaboratively with teaching staff to meet a variety of educational needs.
The Qualified TA will play an active role in supporting lesson delivery, reinforcing key concepts, and providing focused assistance to individuals and groups throughout the school day.
Qualified Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted learning activities under the direction of teaching staff
- Reinforce key concepts through individual and small-group interventions
- Prepare and adapt resources according to different levels of ability
- Encourage learners to develop confidence and take greater ownership of their work
- Monitor academic engagement and provide useful observations to teachers
- Contribute to an organised, inclusive, and productive classroom environment
Qualified Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3
- Previous classroom experience supporting children or young people
- Understanding of effective learning support and classroom practices
- Ability to work confidently with individuals and small groups
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
