Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay Rate: £100 - £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle Branch are recruiting energetic and confident Sports Coach to work with active schools in Middlesbrough. We welcome individuals with a strong sporting background who can lead engaging physical activities, establish positive relationships with students, and use their coaching experience to support both personal development and wider school engagement.
The Sports Coach will have the opportunity to deliver structured sporting activities while helping young people improve physical skills, teamwork, resilience, communication, and confidence.
Sports Coach Responsibilities:
- Lead structured sports sessions and physical activities for different age and ability groups
- Demonstrate techniques and provide clear guidance to improve individual performance
- Motivate students to participate actively and develop confidence in their abilities
- Promote teamwork, discipline, fair play, and positive attitudes through sport
- Adapt activities to ensure learners with varying skill levels can participate effectively
- Maintain safe and organised sessions in line with school expectations
Sports Coach Requirements:
- Experience coaching sport or leading physical activities with children or young people
- Relevant sports coaching qualification
- Ability to motivate groups and communicate instructions clearly
- Understanding of safe practice when delivering physical activities
- Confident, organised, and adaptable approach to working in a school environment
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
