Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for an enthusiastic Computer Studies (CS) Teacher to work with a school in Doncaster. This role provides an opportunity to make computing concepts engaging, develop pupils' digital understanding and encourage students to use technology creatively, safely and responsibly.

As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons.
  • Teach computing, digital technology and relevant concepts.
  • Make technical topics clear and accessible to students.
  • Develop logical thinking, coding and problem-solving skills.
  • Assess learning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Encourage safe and responsible use of technology.
  • Work with colleagues to support students' wider academic development.

Requirements for being a Computer Studies Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential for the role.
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Studies, Computing or a related subject.
  • Previous experience as a Computer Studies/Computer Science Teacher is desirable.
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to engage students with different levels of digital experience.
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
