Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Grimsby, Lincolnshire
Salary: £93 – £110 per day, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time | Flexible
GSL Education is looking for a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to support pupils in schools across Grimsby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and young people and wants to make a genuine difference to their educational experience.
You will work alongside teachers and other support staff to help pupils access their learning, develop confidence, and overcome barriers both inside and outside the classroom. The role may involve supporting individual pupils, small groups, or the wider class depending on the school's needs.
Your Role May Include:
- Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities.
- Working with individual students and small groups.
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom participation.
- Supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs where required.
- Assisting teachers with the preparation of learning resources and activities.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within education or a similar setting.
- Is patient, supportive, and able to adapt to different pupil needs.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Has a genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one.
