ICT Teacher
Location: York, North Yorkshire

Duration: Full Time, Term Time only
Salary: Paid to scale
GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable ICT Teacher to join a supportive specialist education setting in York, on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
The successful teacher will have a strong understanding of SEN and experience working with pupils with a range of additional needs. You will be responsible for delivering engaging ICT and experiential lessons across Primary, Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, adapting your teaching to meet individual needs and abilities.
As an ICT Teacher, you will:
- Teach ICT across Primary, KS3 and KS4, following the National Curriculum.
- Deliver engaging, accessible and practical lessons suited to pupils with a range of SEN needs.
- Support pupils to develop confidence and functional ICT skills.
- Explore opportunities to deliver Functional Skills ICT and/or ICDL at KS4 where appropriate.
- Adapt resources, teaching approaches and expectations to meet individual pupil needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to promote pupil progress and engagement.
The Ideal Candidate

- Has experience working with SEN pupils across a range of needs and abilities.
- Is confident teaching ICT across different age groups and abilities.
- Can adapt their teaching creatively and effectively to individual learners.
- Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Is patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Is committed to inclusive education and supporting every pupil to reach their potential.
