Cover Supervisor
Location: Hull
Salary: £103 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education Hull Branch are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Hull, supporting the delivery of lessons and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning in the absence of their regular teacher.
The successful Cover Supervisor will take responsibility for supervising pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups. You will help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, manage student behaviour, and ensure that learning continues effectively throughout the school day.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain focused on their learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
- Provide clear instructions and support to students throughout the lesson.
- Encourage active participation and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Respond appropriately to questions and provide basic support with learning activities.
- Record attendance and report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate staff member.
- Liaise with teaching and support staff to ensure the smooth delivery of lessons.
- Work flexibly across different subjects and year groups as required.
Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Experience within a school, educational, youth work, or similar setting is advantageous.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in leading and supervising groups of students.
- Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply
