Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint skilled and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher for inclusive schools throughout Barnsley. This role is ideal for qualified educators who can explain mathematical concepts clearly, challenge students at the right level, and build the numerical and reasoning skills needed for continued academic progress.
The Maths Teacher will provide structured and engaging lessons across the Mathematics curriculum, supporting learners in developing numerical fluency, logical reasoning, and independent problem-solving abilities.
Math Teacher Responsibilities:
- Develop well-structured lessons across key areas of the Mathematics curriculum
- Demonstrate mathematical methods using clear explanations and relevant examples
- Challenge pupils with reasoning tasks and progressively complex problems
- Differentiate instruction according to individual ability and learning needs
- Measure attainment through classwork, tests, and formal assessments
- Equip examination groups with effective revision strategies and targeted preparation
Math Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Comprehensive knowledge of the secondary Mathematics curriculum
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
- Confidence communicating mathematical ideas to learners of varying abilities
- Strong planning, assessment, and classroom leadership skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
