Salary: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor (CS) to work with a school in Doncaster. If you are someone who can confidently supervise classes, maintain positive behaviour and ensure students' engagement, this role as a Cover Supervisor is for you!
Core responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise lessons across a variety of subjects.
- Follow lesson plans and provide students with clear instructions.
- Maintain a calm and purposeful classroom environment.
- Monitor students' behaviour and respond appropriately to disruption.
- Encourage students to complete their assigned learning activities.
- Support students where clarification or basic assistance is required.
- Provide feedback to relevant school staff following lessons.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable for the Cover Supervisor (CS) role.
- Experience in education, tutoring, youth work or a similar environment is advantageous.
- Confident approach to classroom and behaviour management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in different situations.
- Reliable, organised and punctual.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
