At GSL Education Leicester, we are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools, supporting pupils throughout EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

✅ The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.
You will:
- Deliver planned learning activities and interventions to individuals, small groups, and whole classes
- Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with teaching staff to promote pupil progress and achievement
- Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of different abilities and learning styles
- Support pupils with SEND and EAL requirements
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement

- HLTA status or a relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working within a primary school setting
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Confidence leading learning activities and covering whole-class lessons
- A proactive, flexible, and professional approach
- A commitment to supporting pupil achievement and wellbeing
Desirable:
- Experience across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND and EAL needs
- Additional intervention or specialist support experience
