Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint caring and creative Early Years Practitioner (EYP) for vibrant schools in Doncaster. We welcome individuals who understand how young children learn through play, can respond thoughtfully to different developmental needs, and are committed to creating an environment where every child feels safe, involved, and encouraged.
The Early Years Practitioner supports children during a crucial stage of development, providing purposeful activities and experiences that strengthen early communication, social, physical, and independence skills.
Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Create stimulating play-based activities that encourage curiosity and exploration
- Introduce opportunities for early language, communication, and numeracy development
- Observe children’s interests, achievements, and emerging developmental needs
- Facilitate creative, sensory, and practical experiences appropriate to different ages
- Encourage independence through everyday routines, choices, and responsibilities
- Maintain an engaging environment where children’s safety and wellbeing remain central
Early Years Practitioner Requirements:
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development
- Previous experience within a nursery, Early Years, or childcare environment
- Ability to engage young children through purposeful play and age-appropriate activities
- Confidence recognising and responding to individual developmental needs
- Caring, observant, and dependable approach to working with young children
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
