Job Title: KS2 Teacher
Location: Durham
Pay Rate: £140 - £200 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are working with primary schools across Durham to find motivated and resourceful Key Stage 2 Teacher. We are interested in educators who can deliver a broad and engaging curriculum, recognise individual learning needs, and create an environment where pupils are encouraged to question, explore, and achieve.
The KS2 Teacher role will give you the opportunity to support pupils throughout Years 3 to 6, strengthening their knowledge across core and foundation subjects while developing independence, resilience, and effective learning habits.
KS2 Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Strengthen pupils’ literacy, numeracy, scientific understanding, and wider subject knowledge
- Challenge learners through activities that promote reasoning and independent thinking
- Modify teaching approaches to address different abilities and individual learning needs
- Assess attainment regularly and use findings to guide future lesson planning
- Prepare older KS2 pupils for a confident transition towards secondary education
KS2 Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
- Previous experience teaching within KS2 or a primary school setting
- Confidence planning lessons that engage and challenge pupils at different levels
- Strong assessment, organisation, and classroom leadership abilities
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
