Primary Teachers Wanted – NE15, Newcastle

GSL Education Newcastle Branch are currently recruiting passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to work across a range of Primary Schools in the NE15 area of Newcastle upon Tyne.

We have a variety of exciting opportunities available across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, ranging from flexible day-to-day supply work to short-term and long-term teaching positions.

Whether you are an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a new opportunity, an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop your classroom experience, or simply seeking greater flexibility around your work, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons across the Primary curriculum.
  • Following existing lesson plans for day-to-day supply assignments.
  • Planning and preparing high-quality lessons for longer-term teaching positions where required.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Adapting teaching and learning to meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Maintaining high expectations for pupil learning, progress and behaviour.
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other members of school staff.

Requirements

To be considered for the Primary Teacher role, you should:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have a good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Be confident teaching within EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be adaptable, enthusiastic and reliable.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are strongly encouraged to apply.
