Salary Scale: £34,068 to £52,834 per annum (MPS/UPS)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Maths Teacher to work across secondary schools in York.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or an educator seeking a new challenge within a supportive school environment. You will have the opportunity to engage learners across a range of abilities, make mathematics accessible and meaningful, and help students develop the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed.
About the Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the relevant secondary curriculum, using varied teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs. You will establish high expectations, maintain a positive classroom environment, and encourage students to develop strong mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Core Responsibilities of the Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons aligned with the relevant curriculum and examination requirements
- Differentiate learning activities to support students across a range of abilities and learning needs
- Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive attitudes towards learning
- Assess student understanding, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback
- Develop students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and independent learning skills
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support students' academic progress and wider development
As the Ideal Maths Teacher, You Should Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Strong subject knowledge across the secondary Maths curriculum
- Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to engage, motivate, and challenge students with different abilities
- A genuine passion for Mathematics and a commitment to helping young people achieve their potential
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent teaching experience within an educational setting
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
