Are you a confident Maths Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom? A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team and help students build strong mathematical skills and confidence.

About the Role:

As a Maths Teacher, you will plan and deliver well-structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their mathematical understanding and prepare for future study. You will use effective teaching strategies to engage learners, assess progress and adapt lessons to meet different needs, while maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress accurately.

  • Adapt teaching and resources to meet a range of learning needs.

  • Develop pupils' confidence and understanding in mathematical concepts.

  • Maintain effective classroom management and high expectations.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil achievement.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.

  • Strong subject knowledge across the secondary Maths curriculum.

  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.

  • A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and supporting pupil progress.

  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
