Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Rotherham
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are welcoming applications from confident and supportive Behaviour Support to work with amazing schools in Rotherham. We would like to hear from the individuals who can understand the needs behind challenging behaviour, establish clear expectations, and help students develop more positive ways of responding to difficulties.
The Behaviour Support role involves working closely with learners who require additional guidance, helping them manage their actions, improve classroom engagement, and build stronger relationships with others.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Provide focused support to students who experience behavioural challenges
- Help young people understand the impact of their choices and actions
- Use positive strategies to prevent and manage difficult situations
- Encourage learners to develop better communication and social skills
- Support students with staying focused and returning to learning when difficulties arise
- Work with teachers and pastoral teams to follow individual behaviour plans
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting
- Awareness of behaviour management and positive support strategies
- Confidence dealing with challenging situations calmly and fairly
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, consistent, and able to maintain appropriate boundaries
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
