Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting enthusiastic and skilled Computer Studies (CS) Teacher to work with schools in Doncaster. We are keen to hear from qualified educators who can introduce students to computing in an engaging way, develop their digital knowledge, and encourage them to solve problems using technology.

The Computer Studies Teacher helps learners build a strong understanding of computing, programming, and digital systems while preparing them for further study and future opportunities.

Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computer Studies lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Introduce coding and programming through practical tasks and projects
  • Explain computer systems, networks, software, and digital technologies
  • Encourage students to use logical thinking when solving computing problems
  • Monitor learner progress through classwork, projects, and assessments
  • Support young people with revision and preparation for examinations

Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Previous experience teaching Computer Studies, Computing, or ICT within a school
  • Good knowledge of programming, computer systems, and digital technology
  • Ability to explain technical topics clearly to different ability levels
  • Strong planning, communication, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
