Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay Rate: £90 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle Branch are looking for skilled and dependable Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work with welcoming schools in Middlesbrough. This opportunity is ideal for qualified support staff who can work closely with teachers, provide focused learning assistance, and encourage students to become more confident and independent.
The L3 TA plays an active part in classroom learning by supporting individuals and groups, preparing activities, and helping learners work towards their academic goals.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with delivering planned classroom activities
- Work with individuals and small groups who require additional help
- Explain tasks clearly and encourage students to complete work independently
- Prepare learning materials and organise resources for lessons
- Help young people maintain positive behaviour and stay focused
- Monitor progress and share relevant observations with teaching staff
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Previous experience supporting children or young people in an educational setting
- Good understanding of classroom routines and learning support
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Organised, flexible, and able to work effectively within a school team
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
