Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking creative Design and Technology Teacher to work in reputed schools across Doncaster. We would like to hear from qualified teachers who can make practical learning enjoyable, introduce students to different materials and processes, and encourage them to develop their own ideas.
The DT Teacher helps learners build creative, technical, and problem-solving skills through practical projects and engaging classroom activities.
D&T Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver practical D&T lessons across relevant topics and year groups
- Guide students through the process of designing, creating, testing, and improving products
- Demonstrate the correct and safe use of tools, machinery, and workshop equipment
- Encourage learners to experiment with materials and develop their own creative solutions
- Assess practical and written work and provide clear feedback for improvement
- Maintain a safe and organised classroom or workshop environment
Design and Technology Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience teaching Design and Technology in a school setting or similar
- Good knowledge of relevant D&T subjects, materials, and practical techniques
- Understanding of health and safety procedures within practical learning environments
- Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
