Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you confident in managing a classroom and keen to support students in their learning? A welcoming secondary school in Worksop is looking for a reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team from September.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain focused and engaged with their work. You will follow prepared lesson plans, manage behaviour confidently and provide support where needed, helping maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.

Deliver pre-prepared lesson activities and ensure students remain on task.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Support students with their learning where appropriate.

Maintain a safe, calm and productive classroom environment.

Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson engagement and behaviour.

Follow school procedures and contribute positively to the wider school community.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

A calm, confident and consistent approach.

Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively.

Good organisational skills and reliability.

A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and development.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
