Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you confident leading a classroom and keen to make a positive impact in secondary education? A welcoming secondary school in Doncaster is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise lessons during the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided and maintain a positive attitude towards learning. You will play an important part in keeping lessons running smoothly, promoting good behaviour and supporting students throughout the school day. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, graduates or experienced education professionals looking to build valuable classroom experience.

Responsibilities:

Supervise classes using lesson plans provided by teaching staff.

Ensure students remain engaged and complete the work set.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.

Create a calm, safe and productive learning environment.

Record attendance and provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons.

Build positive relationships with students and colleagues across the school.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Confidence managing groups of students in a classroom environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A calm, organised and adaptable approach to work.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
