Aspiring Teacher – Boston
Location: Boston
Salary: £90 – £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP / September 2026
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time | Flexible
GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic Aspiring Teachers to work in schools across Boston. This is an exciting opportunity for graduates, university students, or individuals considering a future career in teaching to gain valuable paid classroom experience while making a real difference in the lives of young people.
Whether you're currently studying at university, have recently graduated, or are exploring a career in education, this role offers the perfect first step into the classroom. We'll help you gain practical experience in a range of school-based roles while building the skills and confidence needed for a successful career in teaching.
About the Role:
As an Aspiring Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to gain experience working as a:
- Teaching Assistant
- Cover Supervisor
- Tutor
- Exam Invigilator
These roles provide excellent preparation for a PGCE, School Direct programme, or other teacher training pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in lessons on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Encourage students' confidence, participation, and academic progress
- Gain experience working with pupils of different ages and abilities
- Promote positive behaviour and uphold school policies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive, and professional attitude
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
