Job Title: Key Stage 2 Teacher

Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teachers for fabulous schools in Barnsley. We are looking for dedicated educators who can deliver engaging lessons, create an inclusive learning environment, and inspire pupils to achieve their full potential. This role is ideal for teachers who are committed to fostering curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning during these important primary years.
The KS2 Teacher will have the opportunity to deliver creative and well-structured lessons, supporting pupils' academic, social, and personal development while preparing them for the next stage of their education.
Key Stage 2 Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs and abilities of all learners
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress to inform future learning
- Foster a positive classroom culture that encourages confidence, independence, and participation
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupils' development
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through meetings, events, and school initiatives
Key Stage 2 Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils in a school setting
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Passion for delivering high-quality primary education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
