Job Title: Early Years Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are inviting applications from passionate Early Years Teacher (EYT) to work in welcoming schools in Sheffield. We are looking for creative and nurturing educators who can deliver high-quality early years education, encourage curiosity through play-based learning, and provide every child with the confidence to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Early Years Teacher will create stimulating learning experiences that support children's development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping them become confident, independent, and enthusiastic learners.

Early Years Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom where children feel confident to explore and learn
  • Assess children's progress and use observations to plan meaningful next steps in learning
  • Foster communication, creativity, and social development through play-based activities
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and carers to support each child's development
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and independence through consistent routines and encouragement

Early Years Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Experience teaching within an Early Years or EYFS setting
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Passion for supporting children's early learning and development
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
