Computing Teacher

Location: Medway, Kent

Salary: £130 - £250 per day (depending on experience and pay scale)

Start date: September 2026

Contract: Full-time

GSL Education Kent is currently recruiting for a dedicated ICT / Computing Teacher to join a prestigious grammar school in Medway from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ICT / Computing Teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher to become part of a forward-thinking department that inspires students to develop the digital knowledge and technical skills needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

The successful ICT / Computing Teacher will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will encourage students to develop their understanding of computer science, programming, digital literacy, and information technology while nurturing creativity, problem-solving, and computational thinking.

The ideal ICT / Computing Teacher will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching ICT and/or Computing across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is desirable)
  • Strong subject knowledge, including areas such as Computer Science, programming, networks, and digital technologies
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire and challenge students
  • A passion for technology and preparing young people for further education and future careers
  • A proactive, professional, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
