Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you confident leading a classroom and passionate about supporting young people in their education? A welcoming secondary school in Doncaster is looking for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team this September.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 when teachers are absent, ensuring students remain engaged and on task throughout the school day. You'll play an important part in maintaining a positive learning environment, managing classroom behaviour and supporting pupils to achieve their best. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers or anyone with experience working with young people.

Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of curriculum subjects.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.

Ensure students remain focused and complete the work provided.

Support students with lesson activities where appropriate.

Record attendance, behaviour and lesson outcomes for teaching staff.

Work closely with teachers and support staff to promote a positive learning environment.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Confidence leading groups of secondary-aged students.

A calm, organised and adaptable approach.

The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

An interest in education or previous classroom experience is advantageous.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
