Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) for vibrant schools in Doncaster. We are looking for caring and committed individual who can provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, encouraging their academic progress, confidence, and independence within the classroom.
The SEN Teaching Assistant position enables you to make a lasting impact by providing personalised support that helps pupils overcome barriers to learning and thrive in school.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist pupils with individual learning programmes during classroom activities
- Tailor support techniques to meet a range of special educational needs
- Encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance and reassurance
- Contribute to the delivery of personalised education and support plans
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families to support progress
- Promote an inclusive classroom where every pupil feels supported and valued
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN in a school setting
- Knowledge of inclusive learning practices and effective support strategies
- Compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach to working with pupils
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to promoting equality, inclusion, and pupil achievement
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
