Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint a Design and Technology Teacher for school in Doncaster. We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, nurture creative thinking, and equip pupils with the practical skills needed to bring ideas to life.
The D&T Teacher is going to inspire creativity, encourage innovation, and help pupils develop valuable technical and problem-solving skills for the future.
DT Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Develop pupils' practical, creative, and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning
- Prepare and supervise practical activities while maintaining high health and safety standards
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and independent thinking
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and departmental development
Design and Technology Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Experience teaching Design and Technology in a school setting
- Strong subject knowledge across relevant Design and Technology disciplines
- Ability to deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
