Location: Doncaster
Pay: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking Cover Supervisor (CS) for welcoming schools in Doncaster. We are looking for confident, adaptable, and organised individuals who can supervise pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, and ensure pupils remain focused throughout the school day.
The Cover Supervisor position gives you the opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting pupils' learning and developing strong leadership and behaviour management skills.
Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise lessons using work prepared by teaching staff
- Encourage pupils to remain engaged and complete learning activities
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide appropriate guidance while promoting independent learning
- Record attendance and share relevant lesson feedback with teaching staff
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with children or young people in a school setting
- Confidence managing groups of pupils within a classroom environment
- Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and professional approach to different classroom situations
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
