Pay: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor (CS) for schools in Sheffield. We are seeking confident, organised, and adaptable individuals who can supervise pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and ensure learning continues in the absence of the regular teacher.
The Cover Supervisor role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while developing leadership, behaviour management, and communication skills within a rewarding educational environment.
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervise pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils remain focused on their learning
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupils in completing the work set by teaching staff
- Record attendance and provide lesson feedback where required
- Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
- Help create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
Cover Supervisor Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in a school setting
- Confidence managing groups of pupils within a classroom environment
- Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and reliable approach to working across different classrooms
- Commitment to supporting positive learning experiences for pupils
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
