Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Pay: £93 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Lincoln Branch are keen to hear from Teaching Assistants interested in working in schools in Grimsby. The ideal candidate will be dependable, approachable, and able to work alongside teaching staff to support pupils throughout lessons and daily school activities.
The Teaching Assistant position is suited to someone who can recognise individual learning needs and provide practical guidance that helps pupils remain engaged, organised, and ready to learn.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small-group assistance during classroom activities
- Reinforce lesson objectives by explaining tasks and offering appropriate guidance
- Encourage pupils to participate, communicate, and work independently
- Prepare learning materials and help maintain an organised classroom
- Share relevant observations about pupil engagement and progress with teaching staff
- Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people in a school setting
- Confidence building constructive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow classroom instructions
- Patient and adaptable approach to different learning needs
- Commitment to supporting pupils’ education, wellbeing, and personal development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
