Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are looking to appoint Behaviour Support for amazing schools in Sheffield. We welcome applications from resilient and compassionate individuals who can build positive relationships with pupils, promote emotional wellbeing, and encourage engagement with learning.

The Behaviour Support role provides a rewarding opportunity to guide pupils through challenges, helping them build confidence, resilience, and positive attitudes towards education.

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support for pupils experiencing behavioural and emotional challenges
  • Encourage positive behaviour through consistent guidance and effective intervention strategies
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to improve student engagement
  • Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and emotional regulation skills
  • Contribute to behaviour support plans and monitor pupil progress
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Behaviour Support Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable
  • Good understanding of behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Positive, proactive, and resilient approach to supporting pupils
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
